I am planning a trip to Santiago, Chile in November. Delta has a flight from my home town to Atlanta which arrives in ATL at 7:45 pm. The connection to Santiago departs at 9:50 pm, so slightly over two hours.
On a U.S. connection, even at a big airport, I would be comfortable with a two-hour connection time. But with a flight to Chile, where the next one won't be take off til the next day, am I risking it? Should I look for a longer wait time between flights? Thanks!
If your inbound flight is on schedule, you will have more than enough time. If you worry about delays on the inbound, take an earlier flight to ATL. There's no way to predict delays.
