To answer my own question, there are sadly no restaurants (yet) in the new B6 San Juan terminal where I am now sitting. There is at one end of a central area a take-out coffee/ice cream shop and at the other end, a bar, both of which offer cold food to go with a half dozen empty cubicles in-between designed, one would assume, for a sit-down restaurant(s) or shops, but now empty. Behind the (empty) shop space is a beautiful area with tables and chairs overlooking the tarmac. Opposite Gate A5 there is a (self-proclaimed, gourmet) hot dog stand offering, so the sign says, Nathan's hot dogs and a couple of (hot) Puerto Rican sandwiches. Right next to the hot dog stand is a vending machine which seemed quite popular. Not all is bad, as there is free WiFi to which I can attest as I await my flight back to Boston.
