I've been on this flight in business cabin a few times. Cabin was always completely full. I have no idea what the upgrade situation was like for each, however. I'd imagine at least a few people clear. With an M fare, I would think you'd have priority over someone doing the same thing with a W fare.
Good luck. It's a long flight to not have a bed for.
