It should be one of those two, but I find the newer AC plugs are very finicky, and sometimes I need to plug and unplug my laptop over and over and over until it finally works.
As for the picture, best is to first upload it somewhere (such as Picasa, SmugMug, Flikr, etc.) and then add a link to that using the little button that looks like a painting, which inserts [IMG] tags.
