In Newcastle lounge last week there was a couple going on a weekend trip with 74 kgs each (admittedly to Dubai), and I thought at the time - what on earth are they taking? Snowboots just in case? But 99 kgs, my goodness, what are you getting up to?!

I'm supposed to manage on a maximum of 14 kgs for up to 22 days away. Which I can largely do, if I stuff a couple of kilos into the old Barbour jacket's deep recesses.
