Hi all. I travled BA from Edinburgh to Heathrow and my bag was destroyed. The luggage and contents were worth around $1000. I filed a complaint on the BA website and sent a registered letter to the airline. They responded" In settling your claim, as you do not have any receipts, we have deducted 50% from the replacement cost of the items listed."
Aside from the frustration of having to deal with this, im angry because they destroyed my property and wont compensate for items that I no longer have receipts for.
Do I have any recourse? Should I write another letter citing the Montreal Convention? If so does any part compel them to pay?
