I agree with the OP.

It's all very well saying they should only be used in premium cabins when flying long haul but not everyone wants to or can afford to especially if taking the wife and kids along.
WT and WT+ redemptions from EZE to Europe are a joke if using them on BA....WT+ comes in at 105,0000 Avios and £560....which let's face it utterly ridiculous. IB do Biz to MAD for 120,000 and around £100....much more affordable and realistic.

BA need to have a think about the pricing structure of their long haul Y rewards similar to what they did to short haul with the Reward Savers.
