Best int'l business class Europe-->SW Florida? (need travel planning help please)
Hi,
I'm just planning my Christmas trip from DUS or FRA to RSW (or MIA at a pinch, but I'd really rather not) and would be keen to get travellers' input on which airline to take. My wife and I will be travelling in (paid-for) business class, and at present, there are reasonably friendly offers on:
AA via DFW
BA via LHR and DFW
DL via ATL
US via PHL or CLT
The direct AB DUS-RSW and DUS-MIA flights are prohibitively expensive in J for what appears to be rather a sub-par product. Likewise LH/UA etc look to cost a fortune over the Christmas period.
My questions:
Other things being equal (i.e. I'm agnostic between the four options), which of the four options above has the best transatlantic business class product?
Which is the best hub to transit through, in terms of immigration and security wait times and likely weather delays over the festive period? What sort of connection time should I allow? (I suspect that 1:45-1:55, which the computer is suggesting on some of the US itins, may be a bit tight inbound into the USA.)
Will December 25th be noticeably quieter than the other dates for outbound travel?
Am I missing anything?
Many thanks in advance for any thoughts.
