I don't find their seats to be as good as BA's NF though, and their old business class seats are not very good (slope).

Also I recommend you don't do SYD-NRT on JL - that's not a very good service due to catering issues (the main and the appetisers are served at the same time and so the main is cold by the time you have finished the appetiser) and QF's business class is superior (no F on that route on JL or QF) - in fact even their PE is superior service-wise, although of course not the seat. JL business class on that route used to be outstandingly good many years ago so it was terribly disappointing to see it very much downgraded.
Back in 2008 I did Perth to NRT in QF J. Boy did I regret that! 10 hour overnight flight on a 767 that was equipped with wide short haul seats that hardly reclined, let alone lie flat. I was a whinging pom when I found out that.
