JAL upgrading cabins - genuine alternative to BA on Tokyo routes?

JAL are upgrading all the cabins on their 777-300ER and LHR will be the first route to see them. In Business (from JAL website http://press.jal.co.jp/en/release/201208/002217.html ):

- Full, lie-flat seats with expanded seat width

- Unobstructed access to the aisle from every seat

- Enlarged personal TV screen from 15.4 inch to 23 inch

I'm not sure I can get far enough away for a 23 inch screen to be useful, but possibly a real TP and Avios earning alternative to BA? And IIRC flight times are more civilised for those of us that prefer not to go straight to the office....
