If you have more time than money, Malmo may possibly make sense. Otherwise Copenhagen makes more sense. There are circumstances where staying at the Malmo Hilton enables far more convenient possibilities for day trips and better outdoor activities than being based in Copenhagen, but Copenhagen feels far more alive than Malmo -- the size/density issue of course is in play.
