Had a more loaded 2012 BMW X3 recently, which I've termed the "Plus". Leather, heated memory front seats, factory nav, 8.8" widescreen monitor, power rear liftgate.

GOOD:

- e-Shifter works wonderfully, much better than one on Chrysler 300
- Base sound system is excellent, exceptionally clear, more than sufficient bass

BAD:

- Poor quality leather, as rough as sandpaper. I almost thought the seats were leatherette until I noticed the contrast French stitching
- Steering too light and un-BMW-ish

Conclusion: I don't think the X3 is BMW's best, but it's a nice rental.
