Tail wagging the dog
Anybody on this site who thinks that SPG holds a "stick" over franchisees, particularly long-term profitable ones, has no clue as to the realities of the hospitality industry in this day and age.
A couple of signs and a few throw pillows and this place could be a Marriott in a week. Then SPG wouldn't have a Niagra Falls property (or at least this one).
Management can tell SPG to get be*t and there's nobody who is going to do anything about it. Need a muffin and coffee that bad, go buy them.
For goodness sakes, people act as though the place serves Russian caviar and French champagne 24/7.
