An analogous situation would be if AA sent an Executive Platinum member an email stating that
AA anticipates the Admirals Club to be at capacity on your upcoming flight to LHR and we will be unable to allow you entry unless you purchase an Admirals Club day pass for $50 I would find that as equally unacceptable as this episode. While I would be quite able to understand being denied entry if the Club was at capacity on my arrival
