If it's considered an upgraded room, shouldn't there be complimentary Platinum upgrades based on availability? Perhaps a better analogy would be to consider it similar to an accessible room, different but available for comparable rates? While allergies aren't an officially protected disability (yet), the spirit seems similar. Or should it be treated the same as special workout rooms (Westin, for example), while would mean a distinct category and slightly higher prices for the privilege? AFAIK these rooms are available as elite upgrades when they're available upon checkin, although I suspect they don't get preassigned as upgrades very often.
