One "problem" is that once you reached gold or platinum you are tempted to buy cheapest possible tickets and use vouchers and points for upgrade. Thus it´s easy to end up short of points for any status at all after one year.
I know some airlines apply "Soft landing", but does Finnair?
Or do they strictly degrade you from Plat til Basic if you´ve been a too cheap customer?
