Yes, for the purposes of this thread, lets just assume that Marriott will continue the rollover indefinitely and we're doing this without the Marriott Credit Card (since I don't and won't have one)
If I roll 100 nights over into 2013, I have made platinum for 2013. All additional days I stay in 2013 end up rolling into my status for 2014.
So since I'm platinum now, all of the rest of the days I stay in 2012 go towards my status in 2013. If I roll over 45 days into 2013, I only have to stay 30 days in 2013 before I start banking roll over days for 2014.
