I found it best to book directly on websites rather than use travel agents. Rates are often substantially cheaper when using sites like Agoda or Expedia, than what you can get directly with a resort. As example, a hotel I stayed in last weekend in Seoul charged about $110 a night when contacting them directly while the rate I got on Agoda.com amounted to a total of only $56. Given than they also know and understand the power of complaints on the internet in the extremely connected society, we were treated like royalty and given early check-in/late check-out.
