I just got off the phone with reservations... they told me that at 10 minutes prior to departure there was one person who was upgraded and never checked in was dropped from the flight and I was upgraded by the system. Then there was a standby cleared on my seat. What happened at the gate was not in their system.

They asked me to write to Customer Service and I told them I already did.
