But, for a trip I have coming up for Sept 8th to 11th I have the AS record locator from AA but am not able to select exit row seats for myself and companion. Any ideas here? Do I need to call AS?
When you look up your reservation on the AS website, does it acknowledge your EXP status on AA? I'm PLT and have flown several codeshares on AS this year (including yesterday) and have never had any problems booking bulkhead or exit row seats once I've gotten my AS PNR. But the AS website has also acknowledged my status as soon as I look up my reservation, so if you're not seeing an explicit acknowledgement something probably got lost in communication from AA to AS.
While it's theoretically possible that all the premium seats have been claimed, I find this extremely unlikely on AS for a flight that's almost a month away.
