The OP wants to take the "All Terminals" AirTrain.
The information posted by the Port Authority at JFK Airport is also confusing. Instead of pointing you to which of the two tracks would be fastest to your destination, they just label the trains as "All Terminals" on one side and "Howard Beach" / "Jamaica" on the other side. They make you figure out which one to take. It's really been a pet peeve of mine, but I suppose it keeps people employed.

In any event, the "All Terminals" Airtrain will be on your left when you come up the escalator into the Airtrain station. If for some reason it isn't running (been known to happen), then you'd probably have to take the other airtrain to Federal circle, transfer to another level, and backtrack all the way around the airport to T7. That would probably take at least 15-20 minutes.

Here's a map. THe "All Terminals" Airtrain is the yellow line on the map.
