I'd recommend getting out of Sao Paulo as quickly as possible. if you want to stay in Brazil, go to Rio, or rent a car and go to any of the incredible beach towns along the coast of Sao Paulo state. if you dont know portuguese, or if you dont know people in Sao Paulo who can show you its best parts, you probably wont have a good time. That said, Sao Paulo is a HUGE city, great nightlife, culture, and great restaurants. however, for those not used to big cities, it can be intimidating and even dangerous. let me know if you have any questions as I lived there for about 3 months.
