i booked an award seat in business class oneway from jfk to sfo, flight was cancelled. the kind aa agent put me on jet blue in coach. was well rested after flying in j from india, preferred to get to sfo than spending the night at an airport hotel. the aa agent mentioned that i might be able to get some miles back because i was going to travel in coach. gave up calling the aa desk after being on hold for 30 mins. would appreciate any feedback on getting (some) miles back for flying in different cabin than booked.
