OP does have a point. When I have urgent work that needs to get done, I am a bit more productive in F than in Y. But in general, I'm not a whole lot more productive.

And looking around me, I don't get the impression that the people sitting next to me in F are much more productive than those sitting next to me in Y. Maybe a couple glasses of bad wine, some crappy food, a bit of shoulder room, and chances to network with fellow F pax frees them up to think more creatively about how to be much better job creators and stuff. But I seriously doubt it.
