The information posted in this thread about taking the AirTrain at JFK from T8 to T7, while well intentioned, is confusing.

The OP wants to take the "All Terminals" AirTrain. This train operates in a clockwise manner (when viewed from above), but the terminals at JFK are not numbered as the hours on the clock are numbered. The "All Terminals" AirTrain will take the OP from T8 to T7 in two minutes. Taking any other AirTrain will take the OP to Howard Beach or Jamaica, before the train reverses direction and returns to the airport, stopping at the terminals in ascending numerical order (and in a counter-clockwise manner).
