I have had tight connection issues approx 5 times this year through DTW and I've had between 5-10mins to get to the gate once deplaning.

My last one I had 5 mins to make it from one end of the terminal to the other, so while in the air I tweeted deltaassist and told them and I would make it and they notified the gate agent. as I was running up she called out Mr. Nycflyer75 we are waiting for you and right after shut the door behind me. Maybe because I tweeted or perhaps of my status but either way I make sure I tweet while in the air.

I still don't understand why they make it a legal connection at DTW 30mins when 85% of the time that's almost impossible and if they shut the door at 10min mark, it's like they are setting it up for a misconnect.
