on edge, not good at all, but in the cities it was 3g and very acceptable. i didn't do any speed tests or anything just google maps/nav and web searching/photo uploads, in the cities with 3g, they were just as good as 3g in the US.
The edge still worked for maps/nav, but I got to where I added the pre-downloaded maps for the area in the hotel and it was much better.
