As VA Plat I have loved the upgrades (especially to PER) and the Hilton Diamond status has been brilliant. I've had 15 Hilton nights and 9 stays this year and have had, some incredible room upgrades, lounges and always free breakfast and wifi.

My VA Plat will be renewed in September, so I'm interested as to what this means for those who have already had comped hotel status.

In the UK, Plat Amex holders for instance get SPG, Carlson and Accor status ongoing for the life of holding the Amex card, but the Hilton status is a one time thing.

Anyway, my Hilton Diamond status is good through 2013, so it's only next year I need to mattress run if Virgin Plat -> Hilton Diamond does not renew.
