Count me in as another who had a second BA account opened when I got the BA Visa. Got the new BAEC number from RBC and was told that they couldn't change anything on their end. Called BAEC and was told they couldn't merge the two accounts since names weren't an exact match and I would have to fax a photocopy of my passport and request a name change. The account merge is in process after I did as requested.

Definitely liking the card so far and it's already more than paid for itself with 10% discount on BA tickets and I should be able to trigger the 241 before year's end.

I think the only question for me is whether I'll actually collect on the extra 35k bonus miles for signing up. I didn't apply for the card until May 29th, and the account wasn't actually opened until June 4th (based on the start date of my first statement). I'd be less than pleased if RBC didn't honour the extra 35k miles because the link I applied through on the RBC website did still say 50k miles for enrolling.
