As DiverDave said, anytime after T-15. Might wait until T-5 for connecting pax, or may shut the door right at T-15. If a flight is oversold and the GA has an opportunity to bust your seats, I would count on much closer to T-15 than to departure time. Then they don't have to issue DB comp, as you no doubt experienced.
