I would say I'm both traveler and tourist. I admit I'm not a fan of the big coach tours, but I generally prefer small group tours to traveling on my own (as long as the small group tours have a good amount of flexibility built into them). It is nice to be able to discuss your observations and experiences on the trip with others.
