Award availability is very tough to find at any saver level and then you have the huge fuel surcharges to pay. They did a recent promo to redeem with 50% off miles but it was very limited availabity and on some routes zero for an entire month. Oh well, I only fly them for non stops and ease to get there over flying out of DMM.
I took the opportunity of that offer and got myself three trips KWI-BAH during Ramadan. It might be my last time to redeem miles for tickets since at some point I needed to take an earlier/later flight on that same travel date. Gulf Air wouldn't change a confirmation till the last minute and kept holding on to the seats with only one exception. from Last night flight, I was on waiting list though I'm gold member for the last 4 days and they wouldn't budge to change it for me. Though they did it the one time before. The problem is that the seats are available but they wouldn't want to release till they make sure its all sold then they can switch you around.
