We will be staying in Fussen and Berchtesgaden during a visit to Bavaria. We are arriving by train from Berlin. I don't know where to pick up the rental car! I am concerned that the Munich train station will be too confusing to drive from since I would like to avoid the stress of driving in an unfamiliar city. Are there locations in other cities nearby or on the outskirts of Munich that are convenient to public transit from a train station? Thanks for any insights!
