Remember we're not talking about particular dates. We're talking about all dates after March 2 (which happens to be the date they switch back to 763).

So if someone on the westcoast wants to go to HNL in May, it's impossible for them to get a flight.

Your reasoning makes perfect sense but I doubt this is what's happening.
