It's a 763 on this route, not 762. And it's the domestic configuration 763, which I am told is very cramped back in Y. Somehow I always land the upgrade on the 763 though, even as GM (probably because I end up having to take the redeye SEA-MSP). It's not great even in F, but it's a free upgrade and it sure beats Y.

I do agree about avoiding DL's 738s, the other options are better if you can get them.

And don't neglect AS metal on this route. If you can land it, row 6 on their 738s is about as good as it gets in Y. (Their 739s, not so much.) The E175 probably edges it out by a bit, but it's still up there. The downside to flying AS is of course that it's trickier to get an upgrade as a DL elite. I have yet to get the timing right to see if the rumored check-in loophole still works, and as a DL GM I'm far enough down AS's upgrade list that I've never been upgraded. Still... row 6 on the 738 is plenty comfortable for a 2.5-hour flight.
