This situation was traditionally handled with soft landings, which might have been discretionary. Now we have rollover. If you were consistently flying a bit more that the PM requirement for the last few years, it would be pretty easy to make GM or even PM this year, but if you've been getting PM by flying just over 75,000 MQMs each year, you didn't enter the year with much rollover.
