Found out yesterday that my and Mrs. DcDavidO club card expired. They no longer take points and 1 year is $550. The chase club card is $375.

Two questions:
(1) Can I get a second card for the Mrs. and how much would that cost? I don't really want the credit card.
(2) Any other options for club access? Maybe a US Air club card? (I know Gold and International Flights get club access).

$550 seems ridiculous for the club - they are all pretty beat up - especially in Dulles (my home base).
