As the subject says.

Any experience with being able to book, or categorically not being able to book, award flights using AA miles for AY flights 'operated by Flybe (BE)'?

Note that such flights only exist under AY code, are not AY codeshare, as they do not exist under Flybe BE code at all and are not bookable via Flybe, only via AY. Yet still seems that AA still blocks redeeming miles for such AY flights, even though they are solely under AY code, simply because it's 'operated by Flybe', who has recently taken over a lot of AY flights.

So, I am just looking for any pointers in how to (if at all possible) get AA to book such AY flights under an award ticket..
