I don't know if they still do, but they did a few years ago when I flew LAX-LHR & had to get a project done on the old 777 plane. I talked to the purser & asked him if I could buy it as soon as we reached cruising altitude rather than waiting for mid-flight/post-dinner when they normally do on-board duty free. Told him I was on deadline & he got it to me right away.

Again, that was a while ago so I don't know if they still sell it on-board. And now that I think about it, given they're going to the new config, not sure what I'll do w/ mine once the fleet is changed over.

Are there other airlines that have old configs? If so, maybe I'll put it on eBay. Right now I'm keeping it in case I get an old config, although I don't normally work on planes unless I need to do so for something that's deadline-related. In fact, that trip was one of the few times I used the darn thing.

Cheers.
