The comment made by ZenWorld spoke more about how the member views Platinum treatment at Novotels by citing a specific example. So it is a reflection about the programme in general rather than a complaint about the specific hotel. That was my take anyway.
Information about what members like and don't like about the programme is relayed on a regular basis to Le Club Accorhotels. FlyerTalk members opinions, contrary to what is felt from time to time, is taken seriously by the brand. I can assure that.

It was indeed my hope that the Plats treatment to be extended to Novotels and also maybe Grand Mercures and Mercures, to make it a much stronger program.
