Just back from Rome and had no trouble getting a big enough taxi for the fixed rate to take us to our hotel. It was kind of fun to experience the thrill of an Italian taxi ride, whizzing past the Colosseum and the Baths of Caracalla!

We stayed a bit closer to Termini at the end of our trip, so we were able to walk with our bags on relatively flat terrain to the bus stop (Via Giolitti)where we caught the very comfortable and timely Atral bus (4 euros pp) to FCO. FWIW, it took only 35 minutes at 8:25am on a Tuesday.
