I got the same zone 5 for DCA to PHL and zone 2 for a regional flight on Friday. Back in June, though, I did get priority for my checked bag, priority security at LGA, and zone 2 boarding. Not too shabby for this A3 *S.
ok now I'm confused.
Depart:
A320: 18A Zone 5
CRJ: 2C Zone 2
Return Flight
CRJ: 2C Zone 2
A320: 10A Zone 2
I thought I was suppose to be in Zone 3-5 back to front. I'm further front and in Zone 2. Maybe they are still rolling out the new change?
In the end, I guess its not a huge deal, I get a free checked back so I have reason to board early. I don't think I should be getting priority baggage, but I seem to get it like 50% of the time. Ironically, when flying United I also seem to get it 50% of the time. I think the PHL airport workers arent that great with that kind of stuff.
I also have no idea if I get priority security, I usually just keep a low profile walking into the line and usually don't get questioned. In the end, that has far more value to me
