I recently a food dehydrator and tried couple different things. Bananas came out not very appetizing and strawberries cam out too sour.

However, my beef jerky came out nicely after 4 hours of drying.

3.5 lbs beef
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of white vinegar
6 sp of soy sauce
2 sp of powder onion
2 sp of powder garlic
1 ts of powder ginger
2 sp of course black pepper
