I am about to fly SAS from Chicago to Stockholm with my 18-mth old daughter. We purchased a seat for her and plan on taking a car seat with us on the flight.
We will leave our normal car seat at home since it is quite big/heavy and get a smaller car seat (cosco scenera).
Has anyone had any success or issues bringing a toddler car seat on a SAS flight? We really wanty to bring this to help her feel more comfortable and hopefully be able to get some sleep.
It's not so much an issue of having it be FAA approved, but an issue with ANY car seat having a height of more than 18" which is SAS height limit on car seats (according to their policy on their website). If this is enforced you would pretty much not be able to use any car seat for a child older than 9-12 mths on a SAS flight.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
