If there is an amazing place that is just perfect I would love to hear about it, but of course a bit of luxury doesn't go astray!!!

I appreciate a great beach area though, even from the hammock in front of my shack.

DC777fan, thanks for those suggestions, we are definately visiting Charleston and staying at the Charleston Place or French Quarter INn at this stage.

Also visiting Kiawah and Savannah, Sea Island, Beaufort...

I cannot wait as I have always wanted to visit the South. (been to NO only)

But beaches anywhere, I am a beach person and like it hot hot hot.
