For this first trip, I'm driving to Kingsport to fly out of TRI, so pretty much any of the area Hiltons are about equidistant.

It's a shame that the DT has a lounge, as that means continental breakfast. Most of the time I'm at a DT without a lounge, and that often means a hot breakfast.

That Hampton at Bristol is VERY close to the interstate and every room faces traffic (perpendicular to I-81). It might be ok on the inside, but it looks hella-old from the interstate. Also, literally nothing within walking distance to it, anymore. Not sure why it's so high unless you're looking at Sep 25 weekend which is the Irwin Tools Night Race. VERY popular.

Maybe you could just try for a free night or two with marriott megabonus?
