Dunno why or who or what on the special treatment, but LAS-LAX-SAN ?? MQMs & MQSs notwithdstanding, I would definitely dump DL on this route . Southwest has a dozen nonstops a day LAS-SAN in the $69 range booked a week out and also Spirit.
The fact that it's Southwest and Spirit would be enough for me to run the other way, even if it is nonstop. YUK.
