Just a note, if you do pay or use points to get Ambassador status, it may be a long wait before you receive the materials in the mail. I just renewed my status on June 28, and my account still hasn't updated online. Now maybe it's quicker for new members, but last year I had code that after 3 nights at any IC, receive Ambassador status. But I do remember that taking about 6 weeks to receive my packet.

So if you are thinking about using your BOGO on Sept 14/15, that maybe tight whether you will receive your certificate by then. Maybe other people can confirm how long new memberships takes these days...
