I have a montly rental coming up later this month at LAX.

As the new cars should be pouring in right now: Has anybody seen if the current Escalades at LAX are base or luxury edition? The later come with the chrome 22" rims, sunroofs and (which is important for me) magnetic ride.

If they are base modells I would consider the GL450 instead. The airmatic is standart on those - even though the overall equipment is rather poor: My last rentals all just had the luxury package one (navigation,...) plus optical refinements (like runningboards). Not even HD-headlights...

I wish, I had the possibility to upgrade to better equipped cars... Especially in the luxury segment it is a pain to get base modells. Who buys those afterwards???
