1. I was in first, and the reason I got the ticket in first so I would have power and hot food for the long flight (anything over 2 hrs I hate) to Salt Lake from BWI. I had plugged in prior to takeoff and everything was great (Boeing plane). Then after we reached the 10k altitude, our power console would not "reboot" according to the FA, so it was dead the whole trip. None too happy about that.
2. In first again, an Airbus, and no wi-fi. Kept saying it was not available. I don't know if it was Go-go or the plane. There was a logo on the door and all info had stated there was wi-fi.
3. In first (on an MD 90) and the crew could have not been more nonchalant. They never did the safety run-through, there was no bottled water, and there was no breakfast, even though it was printed on the ticket. They tried to hand me a snack basket, but I'm not into chips at 6AM. They did not pull the curtain or tell other passengers the forward lav was for first class so it was a free-for all.
My connecting flight after that one was better, except the forward lav stopped working promptly after take off. At least we got lunch!
But is this common? Does complaining help? I noticed they send a survey, if I take that, does anything come of it if I tell them these things? I'm half-way to silver, and trying to decide if I want to focus more on Delta for the rest of the year. Thanks!
#2 - That's a GoGo issue if you were above 10K feet and not DL's fault. I have subscription with GoGO, and have reported such failures. They normally respond with an acknowlegement of the connection problems and reasons why.
#3 - are you sure about the safety instructions not being displayed??? If reported to DL, you know the FA's may get pink slips. I find it very hard that to believe that they would have missed this key portion of their job, when there are normally like 3 or 4 FAs on MDs...hmmmm. I need receipts on this one.
If there was no bottled water, why didnt you simply ask for one?? Save yourself the pain and hit the "Flight Attendant button", thats why the airlines installed them. Can you provide the route and departure time that Breakfast wasnt served? I am not interested in date/flight number, not tryna investigate anything or get folks in trouble, just wanted to know berra for the future.
